How do I convert WebP to PNG without losing transparency?

Select PNG (.png) in the Target Output Format bar before or after adding your .webp files. The converter decodes the WebP alpha channel onto an unflattened 32-bit RGBA HTML5 Canvas, preserving both fully transparent backgrounds (alpha = 0) and semi-transparent edges or drop shadows.

What happens to transparent areas when converting WebP to JPG?

Because the JPEG standard does not support transparency, uncomposited transparent pixels default to black in basic tools. Here, you can pick Pure White (#FFFFFF), Cool Gray, or any custom HEX color. Both fully transparent and semi-transparent pixels are alpha-blended onto your chosen background color before JPEG encoding.

Are my WebP or HEIC files uploaded to a server?

No. Binary header validation, image decoding, background color compositing, PNG/JPG encoding, and ZIP archive creation all run locally inside your browser using native Web APIs. Your images are never transmitted to an external server.
